Villa San Pietro, accident on 195: 55-year-old dies in overturned car

Fatal accident around 6pm on State Road 195: the victim is Salvatore Piras, a 55-year-old electrician from Sarroch, resident in Villa San Pietro.

According to an initial reconstruction by the Carabinieri, who intervened to carry out the surveys, the driver lost control of his Fiat Multipla at the Villa San Pietro petrol station, at kilometre 26, and ended up off the road, overturning. The impact, particularly violent, left him no escape.

Unfortunately, the intervention of the 118 emergency workers and the firefighters, who rushed to the scene to extract Piras from the passenger compartment, was in vain.
