Mould, stains on the walls, inconvenience and bad organization of spaces. These are some of the items in the evaluation given by the university student association "Unicaralis" to the new Campus "Emilio Lussu" , built in Viale La Plaia in Cagliari. The first tenants moved into the building on July 30th. But the building, brand new and "built with cutting-edge criteria" - as the president of ERSU Cosimo Ghiani had declared - would not be meeting the expectations of those who live there today. All this less than a month after the ribbon cutting.

As the association denounces on its Instagram profile, the opening «was defined by ERSU as a historic day. And from a certain point of view it is because in less than a month the new student residence presented the problems of a dilapidated building in record time ». Among the many reported in the post also "rust, lack of hot water, unsuitable bathrooms, broken elevators and non-adjustable temperatures".

Students – continues the post – rightly ask for tangible improvements : an accessible bathroom on the ground floor, a ready study room and missing services, such as a bar and a gym. Practical improvements are also being requested, such as microwaves on every floor and solutions for a canteen and transport service (the CTM service is practically non-existent in a sparsely inhabited area)».

The improvements would be necessary " if we want to guarantee a service that facilitates a stay in the capital of Cagliari rather than complicating it ", thunders the association which asks for "an honest and frank dialogue with ERSU, because the Student House must be a suitable place and livable for all".
