The traders on Via Dettori, the street in Cagliari that has been closed for almost a year now due to the risk of collapse, are exasperated, given the numerous cracks that had opened in some buildings.

In August they already estimated losses of tens of millions of euros, which have inevitably increased in recent months. And after the summer, the road is also closed during the Christmas period, one of the most prosperous moments of the year for commerce.

The construction site was stopped for a few months, work on the gas network was carried out last week. Then another stop.

The business owners feel cheated, and write it in more colorful terms in a writing that appeared on the construction site fence. «Via Dettori only took the piss. We are starving. Merry Christmas". Signed, "the traders".
