Monastir: Autopsy on body found in Cannas Beccia on Monday

A post-mortem examination will be performed on Monday on the body of the man found four days ago in a reed bed in Cannas Beccia, in the Monastir area . It has not yet been possible to identify the man, who is believed to have died several days before his discovery .
The coroner will have to determine the cause of death. The investigation is being coordinated by the Carabinieri of Dolianova, under the command of Captain Luca Delle Vedove.
The body was discovered by a local resident who, while walking through the area, noticed a body in the Rio Flumineddu. The body, belonging to a middle-aged man, was found completely naked and partially decomposed, hidden by vegetation.
The investigations carried out so far have not yet allowed us to establish with certainty the causes of death.
Identification operations are still underway , under the coordination of the Judicial Authority, to clarify the dynamics of the events and ascertain any responsibilities.
