Great celebration in Uri for the Day of the Elderly. The event organized by the association Ricreativa Anziani, saw the awarding of some of the longest-lived fellow citizens, such as uncle Salvatore Meloni and aunt Maria Lucia Alvau, respectively 97 and 99 years old.

"Our elders - or, as we prefer to call them, differently young - continue to surprise us with the inexhaustible energy they bring inside," the organizers said. "Just look at Uncle Barore, who, as soon as the music started, launched into a beautiful dance with the evening's presenter, Emiliana."

The evening continued with Sardinian dances and songs, in a festive and engaging atmosphere, in front of a passionate audience. "Thanks to the Ricreativa Anziani di Uri association for giving us such special moments, with the hope of being able to experience many other initiatives like this soon." Some municipal administrators participated in the event and were able to reward the participants with the delivery of a plaque.
