The public prosecutor's office of Tempio Pausania has directly sued the owner of the Moresco hotel, Silvano Mario Dessena, for "partial compromise of the dune areas" linked to a series of cleaning works with mechanical means carried out in May 2022 in front of his hotel on the beach Rena Bianca, in Santa Teresa di Gallura.

Dessena was called into question as responsible for the works and the Prosecutor's Office also accuses him of building a swimming pool in the absence of landscape authorization.

The investigation was triggered following a report from the ecologist association Gruppo d'Intervento Giuridico, now the offended party in the criminal proceedings and ready to join the civil action in the hearing set for next May 7th with the lawyer from the Cagliari Bar Susanna Deiana.

The Grig recalls that «the coastal area is protected with landscape restrictions, as well as with integral conservation restrictions and as such has been classified in the PPR. The area is also partly protected with hydrogeological restrictions."

From the inspections carried out after the environmentalists' report by the local police and the Forestry and Environmental Surveillance Corps, it emerged that the cleaning work carried out also with the aid of mechanical means was "massive" because the removal had involved all the vegetation.

Furthermore, the intervention had been carried out without having submitted any request to the municipal offices and a space had also been created, probably used for the positioning of a kiosk.
