They had illegally attached themselves to the Enel counters in the former lodgings of the then Eridania sugar factory in Villasor, occupied for several years in via Togliatti by mostly foreign or nomadic families.

The carabinieri of the local station intervened with 7 Enel teams (14 operators including officials and technicians) to carry out a check on the electricity meters.

At the end of the operations, some completely abusive connections were found - for which citizens originating from Morocco were reported - and some fake meters for which some citizens of Roma origin were reported. Eight complaints in total, the accusation is of theft aggravated by electricity.

The blitz also served to understand what happens and who lives in those houses: during the checks a total of 48 people were identified, of which 22 Roma in building A, among these 14 minors with 9 occupied apartments, two Moroccan citizens in building B with an occupied apartment, 15 people (including three minors), of which 14 Moroccans and an Italian in building D, with 6 occupied apartments, 11 people of which 6 Moroccans (including a minor) and 5 Italians (including a minor ) and building F, with 5 occupied apartments.
