"Procedural truth: common sense, freedom of information, and legislative constraints" is the title of the training course that will take place on Wednesday at the Teatro Massimo (entrance at Viale Trento 9) from 3 to 6 pm. The training event is organized by the Order of Journalists of Sardinia, Giulia Giornaliste Sardegna, the Cagliari Bar Association, the Sardinian Press Association, and is part of the literary event "6inStoria."
"The truth of the proceedings is observed through a kaleidoscope of interventions/testimonies that break down its complexity with the aim of improving the "intelligence" of the outcomes of a justice system that is sometimes seemingly incomprehensible," the organizers write, "to stimulate reflection on how to foster a deeper understanding of the facts; to reflect on the new difficulties introduced at various times by increasingly restrictive laws on the right/duty to report the news."
The interventions
After greetings from Giuseppe Meloni, president of the Sardinian Order of Journalists, Matteo Pinna, president of the Cagliari Bar Association, Simonetta Selloni, president of the Sardinian Press Association, and Susi Ronchi, coordinator of the Giulia Giornaliste Sardegna (Sardinian Journalists) program, many interesting speeches will follow.
Taking turns speaking will be Marco Cocco, magistrate; Valeria Aresti, lawyer; Daniela Scano, journalist; Micaela Morelli, neuroscientist; Morena Deriu, Greek scholar; and Caterina Ghisu, art historian. Moderator will be journalist Maddalena Brunetti.
