Five bodies have been recovered from the southern Sardinian sea in the last 48 hours .

After the two found yesterday , the bodies of three other people , presumably migrants, were discovered tonight by the Coast Guard off the Isola Rossa, in Capo Teulada .

The corpses, as for the two recovered on Monday morning, were sighted by some boats from which the report was sent.

The patrol boats of the Port Authority , already engaged in the search for a wreck, immediately reached the indicated point and recovered the bodies .

The hypothesis that the four were victims of a shipwreck while trying to reach Sardinia aboard a small boat departed from North Africa is therefore increasingly supported.

THE PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE - In the meantime, the Cagliari prosecutor's office has opened two files . The owners are the two pm on Monday, Rossella Spano, and last night, Nicola Giua Marassi. The acting prosecutor, Paolo de Angelis, who is coordinating the activities, has brought everything together in a single investigation : we proceed with the hypothesis of the crime of culpable shipwreck and human trafficking .

The bodies were transferred to the cemetery of San Michele in Cagliari, where the two bodies found on Monday were also transported and on which an external examination by the medical examiner has already been carried out.

LANDINGS WITHOUT STOP - In recent weeks the landings in Sardinia have intensified . In particular, from Friday 26 to Sunday 28 August 216 migrants landed on the southern coasts of the island, the last 84 on Sunday, the day before the first two bodies were found.
