A car skids and gets stuck in trees in Stintino, injuring both occupants.

Fear erupted on Saturday afternoon, around 2:30 PM, on Provincial Road 34 toward Stintino , where the Porto Torres firefighters responded to a traffic accident at kilometer markers 21 and 22. A car with two people aboard, for reasons yet to be determined, went off the road and crashed into trees, becoming trapped in the branches.

To extract the people , chainsaws had to be used to cut down the trees and access the car.

Once extracted, the injured occupants were handed over to 118 medical personnel and transported to the Sassari civil hospital.
The Carabinieri of Palmadula, the 118 ambulance from Stintino and the air rescue from Alghero were also on site.
