Drama this morning in Marina Piccola. A woman of about 60 fell ill while bathing in the sea behind the Sella del Diavolo promontory and, transported to the small port on the Cagliari coast, died.
According to initial information, she is a tourist who was making a short excursion with a rented dinghy, together with five other girls. The victim was in the water when she asked for help: she was short of breath, perhaps due to asthma. She was loaded aboard the vessel, which reached the dock in a few minutes.

The woman seemed alert, but her condition suddenly worsened.

In the meantime, an ambulance arrived, then another and finally a medical vehicle. Unfortunately, the resuscitation attempts proved in vain: a white sheet was spread over the woman's body during the procedures for completing the documents to confirm her death.
