Four months without salary , without social security contributions and without a future perspective , given that the waste treatment plant in half of Sardinia is still standing still and nothing is known when it will be able to be started. It is the drama of about thirty workers of Tossilo Spa , the company, an emanation of the industrial consortium, in charge of managing the plants.

The involvement of the Prefect of Nuoro and the promises made by the various regional councilors were of no use . "We believed the words and with respect and hope we waited for facts and answers - the workers write in a document - but, to date, nothing has changed and patience has run out".

In protest, the workers have suspended all activities , because getting to work involves expenses, with imaginable consequences.

"We will entrust our legitimate reasons to a trusted lawyer and we will ask the relevant bodies and the labor judiciary to verify if it is correct that about thirty families are left without salary and without social security contributions for months".

The workers are asking all the competent institutions why regional law 10 of 2008 is not applied in full for the companies owned by the Macomer Industrial Consortium in liquidation, including the transfer of functions to the new body .

"We are tired of working for a company that has very serious financial difficulties and which has been making losses, for years now, for hundreds of thousands of euros, in the most total indifference - the workers write - that we do not receive wages and do not know what we have in store our working future. Absolute silence from the Region, nothing has been done despite the promises ».
