The drama of the families of the workers of Tossilo Spa , without salary, the situation of the waste platform and the start-up of the treatment plants were at the center of the meeting which took place this morning in Nuoro, where the new Prefect, Giancarlo Dionisi, he managed to gather around a table, in addition to the institutions involved, also the two regional councilors for the environment and industry. A meeting where the essential points of the dispute were reiterated, first of all the problem relating to the workers of Tossilo Spa, who have been without salary for two months and with families in precarious conditions . "Secondly - says the mayor of Macomer , Antonio Succu - we have reiterated the restart of the waste treatment plants, starting with the composting one (selection of organic waste), but above all the request to the Regional Council for the approval of a specific rule that guarantees the autonomy and independence of the industrial consortium of Tossilo, headed by the Municipalities of Macomer and Borore, with sufficient financial support for the restart of the activities and which is accompanied by an economic-industrial plan that leads to the settlement of debts accumulated in these difficult years.

The regional councilors Anita Pili (Industry) and Marco Porcu (Environment) have undertaken to transfer the problems arising from the meeting in the prefecture to the Regional Council and to the junta. An important step forward has therefore been taken, even if there is still a long way to go. Union representatives have expressed cautious optimism, even if something is moving. Also present at the meeting were the liquidator of the industrial consortium, Mario Zacchino, and the president of Tossilo spa, Antonio Delitala.
