Masih Shahid, the 30-year-old Pakistani national who ended up in trial with an abbreviated rite for stalking and mistreatment of his former partner, Paola Piras, did not appear in the courtroom at Lanusei. The man is in prison in Uta for killing the woman's son, Mirko Farci , on 11 May last year in Tortolì (for this affair he will appear in the Court of Assizes in Cagliari), and for having stabbed dozens of stabs to the young man's mother.

Today the judge of the court updated the hearing to 7 June for the sentence. In the previous one, the prosecutor Giovanna Morra had asked for a sentence of 4 years and 8 months of imprisonment for the accused. The defender, Federico Delitala, had instead asked for a psychiatric report for his client, but the judge has not yet ruled on this point, and also the dismissal of the charge from mistreatment "to single episodes of beatings for the psychological problems of the man ", putting forward the generic extenuating circumstances" given the disadvantaged living conditions in which he lived, but also by virtue of the apologies the man asked Paola Piras during the last hearing ".

On April 20, the 30-year-old attempted suicide in his cell.
