Tortolì, the businessman crushed by the excavator died

Adriano Balloi didn't make it.
The entrepreneur from Girasole, who was crushed under his excavator , died around 7 pm in the intensive care unit of the Brotzu hospital in Cagliari. Internal bleeding is fatal. He was 61 years old.
The accident happened last night in Tortolì and Balloi spent the whole night under the weight of the heavy vehicle. His son found him and got worried after his father didn't answer the phone and didn't see him early in the morning.
Balloi was rescued by 118 personnel and transported by Areus helicopter to Brotzu in Cagliari.
Firefighters and carabinieri also intervened at the scene of the accident, on the western outskirts of Tortolì.
