Tortolì, Piaggio Quargo stolen in via Toxiri: the perpetrator of the theft identified
The vehicle, which disappeared in the night, had been abandoned because it no longer worked
Last September 7 he stole a Piaggio Quargo from via Generale Toxiri, on the northern outskirts of Tortolì. At the height of the investigations, conducted with the aid of video surveillance systems, the police from the Lanusei radio mobile unit reported a 20-year-old from Alghero. He is the alleged person responsible for the theft.
The incident happened at half past one in the night between 6 and 7 September. The boy had rushed to Via Generale Toxiri, started the car and set off, reaching, with difficulty, Via Garibaldi, the southern exit of the town. Here he had to give up because the vehicle broke down and was hastily abandoned in the middle of the road before it was caught by the police.
The Carabinieri of the Lanusei company, during the usual control activities of the territory, found the abandoned Quargo and in an instant traced the owner. Now the twist on the case.
