The theme of peace at the center of the 37th pilgrimage on foot from Sinnai to Bonaria: when yesterday very late at night in the amphitheater of the Sant'Isidoro district in Sinnai, the bishop of the Ukrainian city of Lviv, Monsignor Mieczyslaw Mokrzycki arrived, the appaluso of the faithful came spontaneously .

He was accompanied by the archbishop of Cagliari Monsignor Giuseppe Baturi : he was welcomed by the mayor of Sinnai Taracisio Anedda, the priests of the diocese and the faithful who were preparing for the pilgrimage.

Great emotion when the bishop of Lviv concelebrated mass after midnight, thanking for the invitation, for Italy's aid to Ukraine and invoking peace.

Then the wayfarers of prayer began their journey at night, first crossing the town of Sinnai. A night of faith and hope, with stops in Settimo, Selargius, Monserrato, Pirri and Cagliari where the pilgrims were welcomed by various mayors of the area .

At 8 there were thousands upon arrival at Colle di Bonaria, then the return home.

«We started in 1987 - recalled Pierangelo Soi, president of the association "Il Segno" which organized everything - but already in the distant past, pilgrimages were also made with carts. At the first edition we were a few hundred, then over time we became thousands . There are people who have made all the pilgrimages, myself included. It is done out of true faith, to go towards our beloved Madonna of Bonaria».
