The Moby shipping company is preparing a compensation offer for the four thoroughbreds who died aboard the Moby Aki ferry on July 13, 2020.

The ship had departed from Civitavecchia and, upon arrival in Olbia, the Coast Guard personnel verified the death of the four horses of the Clodia stable in Rome.

Today, during the gup hearing in Tempio , the lawyer Francesco Longhini communicated that the Moby company has appointed a consultant for the quantification of the damage. According to the Tempio Prosecutor's Office, the value of the four horses was close to one million euros .

The thoroughbreds, according to the prosecutor, were killed by the excessive heat inside the ship's garage.

The indictment was requested of the ship's commander Antonio Scotto Di Cicariello, of the first officer, Francesco Lo Nostro, of the cadet officer Ernesto Prudente and of the driver of the truck on board which were the horses, Maurizio Conti.

The Clodia team filed a civil action with the lawyer Nazarena Tilocca and the non-profit association "Horse Angels", represented by the lawyer Giulia Cossu.
