Tense moments erupted in the late morning between Cagliari and Sestu, where a police chase ended with the arrest of two men.

According to initial reports, the Flying Squad, conducting a check in Piazza Medaglia Miracolosa , in the San Michele neighborhood, ordered a car deemed suspicious to stop. The driver, however, failed to stop, fleeing at high speed.

A chase ensued with sirens blaring for several kilometers, ending in Sestu with the assistance of the traffic police.
The two occupants of the vehicle have now been stopped and accompanied to the police station for identification procedures and the necessary checks.

Fortunately, despite the high speed and moments of great tension, the chase did not cause consequences for motorists or pedestrians.

Further investigations are underway to clarify the reasons for the escape and the location of the two arrested.
