A 43-year-old, with a police record, was arrested in Sassari for aggravated theft.

The agents of the Flying section of the Police Headquarters intervened last night in the historic city center, where a person was reported intent on committing thefts against a dozen cars.

Once on the spot, according to the description provided to the operators, the policemen managed to stop the man, who had already been reported on the loose a few hours earlier for aggravated theft.

The 43-year-old was found in possession of a glass cutter with a diamond tip, a rudimentary tool to crack car doors and a switchblade.

After the formalities, the man was detained at the police station and today, following the validation hearing, he was accompanied home under house arrest.
