Theft on the beach in Valledoria: 1 kilo of quartz pebbles in the tourist's bag

A kilo of quartz pebbles well preserved in a resealable bag and safe in the sea bag.

It is the loot found in the bag of an Italian tourist and seized last night on the beach of La Ciaccia ( Valdoria ) by agents of the Forest Station Command of Castelsardo, following a report received on the toll-free number 1515. The man is on holiday in the 'Island with wife and children.
When the officers challenged it, he justified himself by saying that the pebbles had been collected for children to play. The material was seized, a 1000 euro fine for the family.
