The rite of the Ancient Selargino wedding is renewed. After the stages of the past few days of Sa Coja Antiga, today the emotional wedding in chains for the couple protagonist of this year: Fiorella Esu and Davide Musiu, who pronounced their “ siss i” shortly after midday in front of the cameras of Videolina. Finally husband and wife with the blessing of Monsignor Gianfranco Zuncheddu during the ceremony in the Campidanese language celebrated in the parish of Maria Vergine Assunta: “ custu amori depit durai tottu sa vida ”, the wish of Don Zuncheddu.

A union of love for the couple, and of faith and tradition for the Selargina community that has dressed up the streets of the wedding procession, among decorations and family trousseaus displayed outside the windows of the houses. Also present were several couples protagonists of the previous editions, each with children in tow.

Excited newlyweds, before and after the fateful yes, with relatives and friends who participated from early in the morning in the dressing rituals, she at Casa Cara, he at Casa Putzu. Together with two special pageboys, Gioia and Nicolò, children of the groom, over fifty folk groups who arrived from all over the island, and local institutions and those of neighboring municipalities, the mayor of Selargius Gigi Concu and his council at the head. Also in the procession were the deputy Salvatore Deidda, and the former Minister of Culture Dario Franceschini. All under the direction of the Pro Loco, with the historic president Gianni Frau. The final stop was the Romanesque temple of San Giuliano, where the promises of love written on the eve of the wedding will be kept - for twenty-five years.
