"Rest in peace my great love. Rest in the peace and love of all those who have flown away. Celebrate, joke with all the angels of the infinite sky. Now you can be like Peter Pan: now you will remain an eternal child."
The grief of an 18-year-old for the loss of "my better half" is entrusted to social media. Cristian Marcia posted a video on TikTok to celebrate his love for Asia Loddo, who died at 16 after a fall from a scooter in Is Pontis Paris: injuries that proved fatal, after four days of hospitalization in the Brotzu intensive care unit.
Yesterday the funeral was held in a packed church of Sant'Antonio in Quartu . A service followed by a torchlight procession, among balloons, banners, smoke bombs: a mourning that was at times silent and at other times characterized by an outburst of youthful vitality for a loss that seems to have no reason. All relaunched by the video published by the eighteen-year-old.
"You will be able to fly to Neverland," the message continues, "you will be like the water that flows in the waterfalls, beautiful, pure and noisy. You will be able to enter and exit all our houses whenever you want. It doesn't matter if we can't see you, touch you: just come closer to us and we will understand that you are with us."
"Now," he is still thinking about Asia, "you will no longer need to run, to rush. You will be able to do everything with extreme calm, without anyone chasing you or stopping you. We will chase all your broken dreams, and we will make sure that Asia is forever fulfilled to the fullest. When we need you, all we have to do is look at the stars and look for the ones that shine the brightest, we will leave you a smile so as to never forget the wonderful star that you are. I love you so much, my dear sweetheart. Always remember that for me you will be my only star that I will look at every night."
