"In what is defined as the war of the skies over Sardinia, the right of the Sardinians to fly and to have territorial continuity is under attack and the facts prove it". This was stated by the regional councilor for Transport, Antonio Moro, speaking on the latest move by the carrier Aeroitalia which announced its intention to operate without economic compensation on the Olbia-Rome Fiumicino route and vice versa and, at the same time, to present an appeal on the tender for discounted flights from to the island.

«Since my first day in office - remembers Moro - on the one hand I have asked the various groupings to keep air territorial continuity out of the political conflict and I have appealed to all Sardinians to defend the right to be able to have discounted flights and frequencies and tariffs established by the current tender". The exponent of the Giunta Solinas also reiterates that on the aerial territorial continuity "there will have to be a comparison to build a Sardinian model" which can define the mobility of Sardinians for the future.
