The hospitalization of Urology opens in Sassari after the conclusion of the works started on 1 August 2021.

The ribbon cutting took place in the presence of the general director and the medical director of the Aou of Sassari, respectively Antonio Lorenzo Spano and Francesco Bandiera, and again the rector of the University of Sassari, Professor Gavino Mariotti, the archbishop of Sassari, monsignor Gian Franco Saba and the director of the facility, Professor Massimo Madonia.

The ward, on the second floor of the first white stick, has 16 rooms for a total of 30 beds, to which are added two beds in a "pre-filter" room dedicated to patients hospitalized and awaiting the outcome of the swab for Sars-CoV-2.

The building works had finished shortly before Christmas, but it took some time to complete the department with the supply of furnishings.
