The mayor of Monserrato parades through the city in medieval clothes unleashing hilarity on social media but also insults and disrespect : "He looks like Robin Hood", "a goblin", are just some of the names that rained down on Tomaso Locci.

It all started with the parade dedicated to the festival of Sa Binnenna , a very popular event with dozens of residents as spectators.

During the procession the mayor Tomaso Locci opened the passage of the "Historical Music Group of Sartiglia" (guest of the municipal administration for the occasion).

The mayor himself published some photos and videos of the event on social media which were gradually shared in other thematic pages , unleashing the haters and the so-called keyboard lions. Immediate reactions of some councilors of the majority who defended the mayor denouncing how decency had been overcome, according to them: “I am outraged by what I was able to read in the messages concerning the Sa Binnenna fashion show. You can't always keep quiet and today I feel free to express what I feel ”, councilor Ramona Perra wrote on social media. “I think it is important - added Perra - to express one's position, always with respect for others, but some have surpassed themselves. I consider some of the things written yesterday shameful , I am referring to the fairytale quotations or of carnival characters, which are disrespectful ”.

The mayor, who was not surprised at all, preferred not to comment on the story but still wanted to make a clarification: “ I wore the medieval dress of the Oristano group with pleasure and pride . It is a dress that is over 50 years old and is a faithful reproduction of a true medieval dress. It is the custom of the group of musicians to ask the mayor of the host city to open the parade, I made myself available and I was available for the whole parade ”, the mayor's comment. "I have nothing to say to those who have found nothing else to do but offend me for the occasion, but I want to thank those who, between councilors and citizens, have taken my defense on social media".
