"They want to modify roads and cut down trees and Mediterranean scrub to transport the gigantic wind turbines."

The alarm launched by the Legal Intervention Group arrives on the “Musei” plant, between Musei (precisely) and Domusnovas, being built by the Piedmontese energy company Esna Srl.

The ecologist association has forwarded "a specific request for civic access, environmental information and adoption of appropriate measures to prevent several trees and Mediterranean vegetation from being cut down to carry out exceptional transport of components for the construction of the power plant".

According to Grig's report, "the cutting of trees should concern the junctions of State Road 130 towards Pineta Musei and Vallermosa, as well as the junction between provincial roads 88 and 89". Along the latter "drastic pruning of the oak trees present should also be carried out".

From the Province, the extraordinary commissioner, Mario Mossa, specifies: «We have given the green light to exceptional transport, one like many. With the authorization of the Forestry, only some plants will be pruned, no cutting."

The works for the construction of the power plant are already underway and their impact had caused a sensation: the gigantic concrete bases that will support the towers have already been placed in the ground.
