The Federation of market operators of San Benedetto di Cagliari is born, which adheres to the provincial Confesercenti.

It was formed yesterday afternoon at Caesar's Hotel, the meeting was attended by over 40 operators who addressed all the problems that led this first group of traders to unite under the banner of Confesercenti, so that they could be followed and helped.

The President of the Federation is Diego Strazzera, operator of the fish area of the market . The board is made up of 11 colleagues from various sectors: fruit and vegetables, meat, pasta and bread.

"It was an important moment of discussion to go into detail on the problems concerning an important part of the city such as the San Benedetto market," says Marco Medda, President of the Provincial Confesercenti of Cagliari .

The market, he adds, «is a brand that identifies our city, with its own character and peculiarities. The economy of an entire neighborhood depends on its correct functioning and thousands of families come under its sphere of influence ».

The newly formed federation, Medda explained, "will be the main tool for initiating discussions with the Municipality of Cagliari in order to understand if the city's policy intends to start a review of the market that matches the needs of the operators and, above all, to ensure that operators have greater influence in negotiating solutions to their problems, starting with the renewal of concessions which is scheduled for the end of this year ».
