The La Maddalena National Park, the Asinara National Park and the Bocche di Bonifacio Marine Reserve have begun to work together «in identifying common problems to undertake shared management actions».

A first meeting between the directors Giulio Plastina, Vittorio Gazale and Jean Michel Culioli took place in Caprera on June 6th and they will meet again for two days at Asinara, on the 22nd and 23rd of this month. On that occasion, each of them will bring some proposals on which they can begin to think.

«Doing practical things together», says the director of the La Maddalena Park, Giulio Plastina, «and this means, in addition to creating a common working group, also identifying resources together».

Therefore, a technical-scientific-administrative collaboration which, once started, will be able not only to serve the management of the invaluable environmental heritage managed by these three entities, two Italian and one French, but also serve as a basis for the resumption, in an effective and concrete, of the idea, stalled for some time, of the Bocche di Bonifacio International Park.

This is a decision which, underlines Giulio Plastina, «we leave to politics; we operate in the interests of protection and conservation and we want to discuss common issues , putting ourselves in a position to identify the best solutions».
