For over 20 years the little square of Porto Cervo hasn't shone with Christmas lights . The tradition was rekindled in the heart of the village by the Smeralda Holding company in collaboration with the Costa Smeralda Consortium, both eager to invest in the winter holidays for the joy of residents, consortium members and visitors.

«A moment of meeting, a return to those pleasant customs that bring families to the square. The great participation in the event organized this evening confirms that in Costa Smeralda there is a united community that lives in the area all year round », comments the lawyer Renzo Persico, president of the Consortium.

The ecological Christmas tree is lit up, Santa Claus has arrived with the elves, the air smells of roasted chestnuts, the children queue up to receive the gifts, while mum and dad sip mulled wine and the Monti choir sings its songs .

In the rest of the village, few lights are on: a boutique, a historic real estate agency, the Cervo Hotel and the Stella Maris church, where preparations are underway for the long-awaited appointment with the living nativity scene scheduled for Christmas Eve.
