The so-called "Zone 30", where cars cannot exceed a speed of 30 km per hour, also divide the Sardinians.
If for some, like Italo Meloni , professor of Transport Engineering at the University of Cagliari, the «advantages are undeniable», for others, like Giulio Pes , regional president of Aci, limited speed city areas can be «harmful if applied poorly."
A debate that obviously also involves citizens, be they pedestrians or motorists. From Olbia, the first city to "brake" cars in all neighborhoods, up to Cagliari where the restrictions concern 875 streets, but, say the residents themselves, "few respect them".
