Goodbye constraints. And off to the buildings . For the community, a sigh of relief after years of building restrictions and various impediments due to hydrogeological risk in various areas of the town. During the Municipal Council of Terralba convened in an extraordinary session by the mayor Sandro Pili only raised hands: the assembly unanimously approved the variant that adapts the urban plan to the Pai, the Plan for the Hydrogeological Structure. This basically means that the constraints introduced by the Region after the 2013 flood are loosened : Terralba was one of the areas most affected by the Cleopatra cyclone.

Now, therefore, it will be possible to build even in those areas where until yesterday it was impossible to lay a brick, naturally always following rules but much less rigid.

THE STUDY – All of this comes after a very long process , but above all after the Region gave the Municipality the opportunity to carry out a study using the two-dimensional hydraulic modeling method. It is a survey that has made it possible to identify the level of risk for each area subject to flooding. The study showed that the risk is under certain parameters, therefore essentially compatible with the building . Now the document will arrive in the Region for the last mandatory step and will then be published in the Buras. Then the engines of construction can be turned on.

In recent years, when the constraints were introduced, many citizens were unable to continue the works they had begun. Between protests, complaints and worries. But there were also problems for many construction companies. For them, the turnover collapsed and not just. As well as for those who sell building materials. But now it changes. A gift under the Christmas tree that tastes like rebirth .
