The Tempio Pausania prosecutor's office has opened an investigation into a construction site just meters from the sea, in one of the most beautiful coves of Porto Taverna . The head of the Gallura prosecutors, Gregorio Capasso, is overseeing the construction of a villa (reportedly over 500 square meters) overlooking the island of Tavolara and with its entrance just meters from the shoreline. Work began some time ago in an area of maximum protection and extraordinary environmental and landscape value.
The Tempio Prosecutor's Office received a note from the GRIG (Legal Intervention Group), and there are also other reports from private individuals, as well as a request for access to documents from the minority of the Loiri City Council. The prosecutors were asked to verify the legality of the ongoing work, because the area "is protected by landscape restrictions and is within the most protected coastal strip."
The checks conducted so far have revealed that the project complies with the permits obtained by the client real estate company. The work is fully compliant with the authorizations of the Municipality of Loiri Porto San Paolo and a specific regional provision. Prosecutors are currently verifying the legality of the administrative procedures (there are currently no suspects or formal charges).
The issue is the presence of an area classified as Zone B with a predominantly residential destination on a site with dunes and a pond.
The building under construction "recovers" the volumes of the (demolished) villa that belonged to Reiner Peter Besuch, the German entrepreneur who was kidnapped in 1978 and never returned home . The LLC that commissioned the work is linked to several individuals of German citizenship.
