Storm over Macomer: destroyed roads, flooding of houses and underpasses

Flooded underpasses, closed roads and the Macomer exit towards Bosa closed to traffic.

The balance of more than three quarters of an hour from the violent storm that hit Macomer and surrounding areas is disastrous. The streets have become rivers. There are about fifty calls received from the provincial operations room of the fire brigade command.

Hell - sometimes even with hailstones - began before 5 pm. An authentic water bomb that in a short time flooded the streets, basements, railway underpasses and even the entrances to the town from Nuoro and Cagliari.

A river overflows at the Macomer exit towards Bosa (the so-called bridges of Bosa), where the road (state road 129 bis) has become a flooded river: the asphalt has been uprooted. Firefighters and law enforcement officers attended the scene and closed the road to traffic.
