The deputy prosecutor Ermanno Cattaneo ordered an autopsy on the body of Ernesto Peano, the 66-year-old entrepreneur from Sassari, who died Saturday evening in the intensive care unit at Santissima Annunziata, where he had been hospitalized after falling from the roof of a shed .

The accident occurred around 11 in a farmhouse in Stintino , in the locality of Lu Cuili Novu, not far from the Saline beach.

The man had been transferred to the Sassari civil hospital with the 118 helicopter rescue, which left from the Alghero base.

The area was placed under seizure at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor of Sassari which opened an investigation to shed light on the dynamics of the accident, on which the carabinieri of the Stintino station are investigating with colleagues from the Porto Torres company in collaboration with the inspectors of Spresal.

Ernesto Peano was the owner of a construction company, a highly esteemed person in the city of Sassari from whom several messages of condolence arrived. Among these, a thought published on the Facebook page by his son: "My God you were a great worker and your work took you away from us".
