For months Irene Testa, Regional Guarantor for people deprived of personal liberty, has been asking for an autopsy to be carried out on the body of Stefano Dal Corso, the 42-year-old found dead in his cell in Massama prison, in Oristano .

The Guarantor herself made this known in a note, according to which it is even more important to proceed with the examination in light of the shocking revelations of a witness.

« Last October 20 – we read in the Guarantor's note – I formally wrote to the Oristano Prosecutor's Office to ask in the interests of the prison first and foremost and to clarify any doubts with the family of Stefano Dal Corso whether it was not considered urgent and appropriate to arrange the autopsy . In light of what is emerging, it appears even more important to proceed with the autopsy examination, the only one scientifically capable of establishing the causes of death."

A superwitness revealed that the 42-year-old Roman was killed because he caught two prison officers during sexual intercourse . Beaten bloody by five officers, who first struck him with two truncheons and then broke his neck with a bar to simulate hanging.

Armida Decina, a lawyer assisting the family, obtained the reopening of the investigation in September, which had initially been dismissed as suicide. He requested an autopsy eight times, which was always denied by the Oristano Prosecutor's Office .
