Lighthouses, old barracks, abandoned villas: in the list of almost 1,400 state-owned buildings in Sardinia there are many jewels in search of a new life. And of another owner. Now on this front the majority is accelerating. The crux is in the implementation of Article 14 of the Statute, which establishes the "succession" of the Region "in the assets and patrimonial rights of the State". A provision that in almost eighty years has never been implemented. With the paradox of the regional administrations with ordinary Statute that in the coming months will benefit from a preferential lane: a Pec will be enough to ask to acquire parts of the state real estate assets.
The topic will enter the Regional Council next Wednesday, with the hearing of the Councilor for Local Authorities in the third commission (Budget): on the agenda is the discussion on the path necessary to be able to transform the statutory provision into reality. "A fundamental game to regulate our relations with the State and create a solid basis on which to advance our claims", summarizes Alessandro Solinas (M5S). In the background there are also the five properties (from Asinara to Maddalena passing through Palau and Sassari) that the State wants to give to private management - perhaps for a development for tourism purposes -, without involving the Region.
