Three complaints filed in Arzachena over illegal seawater pipes feeding swimming pools.

The La Maddalena Coast Guard has carried out a preventive seizure on public maritime property in the coastal area of Cala Bitta , in the municipal territory of Arzachena .

The measure was ordered by the investigating judge of the Tempio Pausania Court , at the request of the Public Prosecutor's Office, as part of a criminal proceeding for alleged building and state property abuses.

The seizure involved the installation of several pipes for the illegitimate extraction of sea water , together with the related ancillary works carried out in the protected three hundred metre coastal strip without the required building permits.

The infrastructure, installed to service the private swimming pools of adjacent accommodation facilities, was found to be unauthorized and built on land subject to state restrictions. Three people have been reported to the judicial authorities.
