"To create the character of Inspector Montalbano, Andrea Camilleri drew inspiration from his father's personality, from his great-uncle Carmelo Camilleri's time as a police officer, and from the physicality of Cagliari university professor Giuseppe Marci. The writer always imagined the inspector's face to be similar to his own." This amusing anecdote serves as a "trailer" for the meeting with Luca Crovi scheduled for Saturday, June 27th at the Ossi Municipal Library, starting at 6:30 pm.

"Luca Crovi tells Andrea Camilleri" is the preview of the 17th "Florinas in giallo" Festival, organized by the Itinerandia Association, Azuni and Cyrano bookshops, with the support of the Municipality of Florinas, the Sardinia Region, the Fondazione di Sardegna, and the Union of Municipalities of Coros.

Accompanied by music by Marcello Zappareddu , the book presentation by Luca Crovi, one of Italy's leading experts on crime and noir literature, will take place, entitled " Andrea Camilleri. Una storia ," an official and in-depth biography dedicated to the famous and much-loved creator of Inspector Montalbano.

A book that explores some lesser-known aspects of Camilleri's life, starting from his youth and continuing up to 1986, retracing his career as a theatre director, screenwriter and RAI executive, through his encounters with historic figures (Luigi Pirandello and Robert Capa) and the stages that established him as a hugely popular cultural icon.
