Fifteen days have passed since the night between 13 and 14 August , when along the Marinella beach, in Porto Rotondo , Fabio Piu, 34, was stabbed in the back by the Roman trapper Elia Baby . Fifteen days spent in a spinal unit hospital bed, and at the moment still without an answer on the possibility that he will be able to walk again in the future.

His intervention, in Porto Rotondo, had arrived to try to calm the spirits after seeing the trapper with another group of Roman friends intent on sowing panic among the people.

" They threw bottles , insulted passers-by - he says when interviewed by the Messenger - and they didn't want to stop". So "I invited them to change their attitude - he continues - I tried to make them think. They seemed to have calmed down and for this I was calm". when the terrible attack later tried to reach the car: "That boy - he explains - attacked me from behind, giving me a stab . I remember that I fell face down . I had immediately lost sensitivity in my legs . It seemed to me that he had cut them off. For this reason I asked the people who came to my rescue if they were still there ”.

The stab wounds reached "the spine" and "some bone fragments ended up in the marrow", leaving the young man "in a lake of blood". Then the intervention of the rescuers, and in the hospital in Sassari an intervention "lasted 8 hours". Then the transfer to a specialized clinic in Cagliari , "but the doctors are cautious", he explains. “I have lost sensitivity from the navel down and I don't know if and when I will be able to regain it”, the conclusion.
