Large fire in Ozieri, flames threaten homes and hospital: helicopters and Canadairs in action

A large fire broke out in Ozieri this afternoon, a few steps away from the hospital .

The flames broke out around 2pm in the Puppuruju and Murada localities , on the outskirts of the town, a densely populated area.

The Forestry Corps is intervening with the support of a helicopter from the Anela operational base, the Superpuma from the Alà dei Sardi base and a Canadair from Olbia

The fire-fighting teams of the fire brigade and the forestry corps   are busy with   dozens of men in the complex operation to put out the fire that is devastating the countryside and cultivated fields.

Even in the last few days the town was involved in another fire with inconvenience and damage to the community . The fire was put out after an intense intervention by the forces in the field.
