Sinnai, tragedy on provincial road 20: he dies in the burning car

Tragedy just before dawn in the Santa Barbara area, municipality of Sinnai .
A charred corpse was found on a car, along provincial road 20 which from the new Sardinian Eastern road leads to the tourist resort of Solanas.
The victim was Maurizio Frigau, 37 years old, a bricklayer from Sinnai, father of two small children. The news caused great grief in Sinnai where Frigau was a well-known and respected person.
According to initial investigations, the cause of the incident may have been a road accident: Frigau would have lost control of the steering wheel with the car, apparently a Panda, which overturned in the ditch.
118 was on site and was unable to do anything to help the motorist. The investigations, coordinated by Captain Ignazio Cabras of the Quartu company, are carried out by the carabinieri of the mobile radio operations unit of the Quartu Company, Maracalagonis and Sinnai. After the legal investigations, the machine will be removed by the Fire Brigade.
No other vehicles were involved.
