There were also two gas cylinders inside the farmhouse that caught fire last night in the Is Landireddus area, not far from the pine forest between the borders of Settimo San Pietro and Sinnai.

The alarm was raised by members of the Forestas Agency, who, knowing the owner of the farmhouse, immediately contacted him by phone. The man, who was not in the burning building at the time, informed the forestry officers of the presence of two gas cylinders inside the cabin.

At that point, Forestas workers, stationed at the Sinnai barracks, called for the intervention of the firefighters, who arrived quickly, prevented the explosion of the cylinders and extinguished the fire. Thanks to the collaboration between Forestas and the firefighters, the flames were contained and the risk of them spreading to the surrounding pine forest was averted.
