He refused to stop when ordered by police during a patrol in the San Michele neighborhood and attempted to flee. A 23-year-old man was apprehended by officers from the Cagliari Flying Squad after a dangerous chase through the city streets.

In an attempt to evade detection, the young man performed a series of reckless maneuvers, seriously endangering the safety of other road users. During his escape, he also struck several parked cars with the side of his car, before abandoning the vehicle and continuing his escape on foot.

The escape was short-lived. The young man was apprehended in an abandoned area. Investigations revealed that the fugitive, born in 2003, was under a restraining order serving a six-month prison sentence for a crime committed when he was still a minor. Pursuant to the restraining order, he was taken to the Quartucciu juvenile reception center.
