The two spouses burned in the explosion that took place yesterday shortly before midnight in the countryside of Sinnai were taken by ambulance to Brotzu in red code.

According to an initial reconstruction, husband and wife were in their home, which overlooks Via Emilia, when, due to a gas leak, there was an explosion caused by an involuntary ignition. The two, in their 50s, were burned in various parts of the body.

They were rushed to the Brotzu. There was considerable damage to the house: the windows and other parts of the house were destroyed but there were no consequences for the structure. On site the firefighters who carried out checks on the house for the consequences of the explosion and to search for the causes.
