Today 80 young people from Trieste are arriving in Sinnai: they are Middle Eastern migrants, who arrived in Italy on the Balkan route and who are expected to stay in the country for about two weeks. They will be hosted in the gymnasium in via Olimpia after the reception operations have been completed with the accommodation of the beds by the Red Cross.

It all started with the request from the prefecture for the availability of the premises to the Municipalities. Thus the possibility of using the gym in via Olimpia arose. There is no shortage of controversies linked above all to the lack of communication on the matter and also on the choice of via Olimpia. The boys would stay in Trieste for a long time. Now they are also sorted in Sardinia with the mobilization of the prefecture which has involved the Municipalities asking for hospitality, albeit for a limited period.

Several boys would arrive from Syria and Eastern countries. None arrived by sea but as mentioned on the Balkan route.

In this regard, a statement was made today by councilor Roberto Loi: «Sinnai», he said, «is not afraid to face problems and find solutions. With the essential support of all the actors who are well known to Mr. Prefect, we hope for an adequate collaboration to face this emergency".
