For over a month, Simala has been experiencing repeated landline service disruptions. Mayor Gianmarco Atzei reported the situation and filed a formal complaint with AGCOM, the Italian telecommunications regulator. Landlines are unable to make calls or connect to the internet. "The situation is extremely serious," Mayor Gianmarco Atzei commented. "For over a month, many residents have been completely cut off, both from their phone and internet connections, with all the consequences this entails, both for work and for safety."

The Municipality, in a statement, invited residents affected by the problem to file a complaint with AGCOM by completing the form available at City Hall. "The proper functioning of the telephone line," Atzei concluded, "is a primary service, which is why I have filed a complaint with AGCOM, the telecommunications regulator. I urge fellow residents affected by this outage to do the same, because a resolution to this problem can no longer be postponed."
