Siligo, armed commando attacks three armored vehicles on 131: firefight and vans on fire. Five injured

Armed robbery against three armored vehicles of the Vigilpol company, at kilometer 183 of state road 131, at the Siligo crossroads, near the Eurospin supermarket.

According to initial reconstructions, this morning around 8 a car blocked traffic in the direction of Cagliari, causing a van from an electrical system company to stop and the driver to get out ( HERE IS THE VIDEO ).

Then the actual action: a white waste compactor stalled on the 131. The first of three armored vehicles crashed into it, turning 180 degrees. The other two armored vehicles were also stopped, blocked by another car belonging to the robbers who also used a large chain and nails on the road.

After several Kalashnikov shots were fired, five vigilantes were injured: one slightly injured in the leg from a gunshot, one suffered a head injury perhaps from a stick, and three others from a rear-end collision. Hospitalizations in Sassari and Ozieri ( HERE IS THE BULLETIN ).

The criminals, who managed to open the safes and take away the money (loot to be defined), fled after a firefight with the police and the Carabinieri of Pozzomaggiore and after having set fire to the vehicles used for the assault. On one of these, parked on the old 131, there was also a suitcase with explosives. There would also be a car set on fire in the Carrozza area, near the town.

The anti-robbery plan is launched with checkpoints everywhere, police helicopters in the air, agents and carabinieri engaged in a manhunt.

The magistrates, the deputy prosecutor Ermanno Cattaneo and the prosecutor of the Republic of Sassari Gianni Caria were on site.

The road remains closed in both directions .
