Serious accident occurred late this evening at the Sestu exit on provincial road 8.

A seventeen-year-old resident of Elmas – and not a twenty-five-year-old, as initially emerged – lost control of the scooter he was riding and fell heavily onto the asphalt.

The impact resulted in serious injuries. Emergency responders arrived on the scene and, after providing initial treatment, took the injured man to Brotzu Hospital, where he was assigned a red code. After being admitted to the hospital, his prognosis remains guarded.

The surveys were carried out by the Carabinieri of Sestu.
