A ship flying the Antigua & Barbuda flag, with 14 seamen on board and moored in the port of Portoscuso , was stopped by the Port Authority of Cagliari for serious irregularities on board.

The administrative detention order was triggered after a careful and thorough inspection, during which " very serious deficiencies related to the safety of navigation" were found.

In all, 13 non-conformities were found, of which 7 were reasons for the ship being stopped.

At the disposal of the Port Authority, the ship will not be able to leave from the port of Portoscuso until the necessary safety conditions on board are re-established, and only after it has been inspected again by the Port State Control unit of the Port Authority of Cagliari.
